Acceptable Use Policy

1. Introduction

Last updated: 13th Oct 2026

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out the rules that apply when a client uses the products, data and systems of Roq.Ad GmbH, Donaustraße 44, 12043 Berlin, Germany, and its affiliates, including zeotap Data GmbH (Roq.Ad GmbH subsidiary) (together, "Roqad", "we", "us").

This AUP forms part of every agreement between Roqad and its clients that refers to it (the "Agreement"). If this AUP and the Agreement conflict, the Agreement prevails. Capitalised terms not defined here have the meaning given in the Agreement.

2. Definitions

Client means the business that has entered into an Agreement with Roqad.

User means any individual who uses the System or the Products on the Client's behalf or through the Client's account or access details.

Products means the data, Data Segments, identity and onboarding services and other products Roqad provides under the Agreement.

Data Segments means audience segments made available by Roqad, including through a Third-Party Platform.

System means the Roqad Unity Dashboard and any APIs or interfaces Roqad provides to access the Products.

Third-Party Platform means a platform operated by a third party (for example a DSP or social platform) through which Data Segments are made available.

3. Prohibited use

The Client shall not, and shall ensure that its Users and anyone acting on its behalf do not:

  • use the System or the Products for any unlawful, fraudulent or deceptive purpose, or in a way that infringes the rights of others;
  • reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble or otherwise attempt to derive the source code, algorithms or underlying data of the System or the Products;
  • use the System in a way designed to avoid fees or to exceed any usage limits agreed in the Agreement;
  • share log-in credentials or other access details with anyone who is not an authorised User;
  • disclose non-public features or content of the System to any third party, or use the System or the Products to build a competing product or service;
  • scrape, crawl or otherwise extract data from the System by automated means, other than through interfaces expressly provided by Roqad;
  • introduce viruses or other malicious code, attempt to circumvent or disable any security measure, or access any account, system or data they are not authorised to access;
  • resell, sublicense or otherwise make the System or the Products available to third parties, except as expressly permitted under the Agreement;
  • send unsolicited bulk communications or spam using the System or the Products.

4. Use of Data Segments

Data Segments may be used only for the advertising purposes and in the territories set out in the Agreement. In particular, the Client shall not:

  • attempt to re-identify any individual, or combine Data Segments with directly identifiable personal data or special category data;
  • use Data Segments to make decisions about an individual's eligibility for credit, employment, insurance, housing or healthcare;
  • use Data Segments to advertise prohibited content (such as counterfeit or dangerous products, or content promoting hatred, violence or discrimination), or restricted content (such as alcohol, gambling, adult content, healthcare, financial services or political content) other than in full compliance with local law;
  • use Data Segments in breach of the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679, the UK GDPR, the ePrivacy rules or any other applicable data protection law;
  • keep, copy or use Data Segments after the Agreement ends, except as the Agreement allows.

The Client must also follow the terms and policies of each Third-Party Platform it uses to activate Data Segments.

5. Security and access details

The Client is responsible for all activity under its account and access details. The Client shall:

  • keep access details confidential and give access only to Users who need it;
  • remove a User's access promptly when that User leaves or no longer needs it;
  • use commercially reasonable efforts to prevent unauthorised access to or use of the System and the Products;
  • notify Roqad at privacy@roq.ad without undue delay of any known or suspected unauthorised access, compromise of access details or security breach, and take reasonable steps to stop it.

6. Monitoring, enforcement and suspension

Roqad may monitor use of the System to check compliance with this AUP and may investigate any suspected breach. The Client shall cooperate with any such investigation and provide information Roqad reasonably requests.

If Roqad reasonably suspects a breach of this AUP, Roqad may suspend the Client's or any User's access to the System or the Products. Roqad will give notice where reasonably practicable and restore access once the breach is resolved. This is without prejudice to Roqad's other rights under the Agreement or the law.

7. Changes and contact

Roqad may update this AUP from time to time by publishing a new version on this page. For existing clients, material changes take effect thirty (30) days after Roqad notifies the Client in writing. The "Last updated" date above shows the current version.

Questions about this AUP, or reports of a suspected breach, go to privacy@roq.ad.
